Clinical Nutrition

Combining comprehensive patient history with diagnostic tools to assess any potential nutrient deficiencies or imbalances is an important part of Naturopathic Medicine. We use whole foods, dietary changes and sometimes vitamin and mineral supplementation to address any deficiencies and ensure optimal nutritional status in order for your body to feel and function at its best.

Herbal Medicine

Botanical Medicine

Plants have many medicinal properties beyond solely giving us the sustenance we need for survival. Many pharmaceutical drugs were developed from chemicals found in nature. We use whole herbs and mushrooms in addition to plant extracts to treat a number of ailments. The innate medicinal properties of herbs can be very powerful tools for healing both your mind and body.

TCM

Traditional Chinese Medicine

This form of medicine dates back to over 2500 years and utilizes Chinese herbs, Qi gong, Acupuncture and Cupping. It recognizes that we have electromagnetic energy currents running through channels in our body known as 'meridians'. It differs from Western Medicine in that it recognizes the interconnectedness of our organs and tissues and how they interact with one another, rather than using a reductionist approach to looking at the body as individual systems.

Diet & Lifestyle

Diet & Lifestyle Counselling

In order to ensure optimal healing, we start by setting you up for success by working on the basics. Finding the right diet for you and your needs, ensuring you are physically active in a way that is best suited for your body, and incorporating mindfulness practices in your daily routine are the foundation of optimal health. So many conditions are resolved purely by addressing these three areas and making a commitment to healthy lifestyle changes.
